I'm Reading The Bible So Hard

Pictures of people reading the bible, so hard.

achancetoexplore asked: i wish i new the old testament this much!

I wish you did too.

Anonymous asked: This blog is disrespectful.

Yep.

thereisnowherelsetogo asked: are you sarcastically opposing religion?

Are you serious with this question?

I am done with this site. People don’t get satire. I am tired of posting the most atrocious bible verses I can find. Only to have it earnestly reblogged by some bright eyed 15 year old christian girl.
I wanted to mock the practice of cherry picking optimistic uplifting bible verses and throwing them online with a cute photo. It was a joke. Some people got it. I am sorry if you didn’t.
So scroll through this blog. Look at all the awful stuff the Bible condones. That’s my point.

“My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him. I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock. I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.” -Solomon’s Song 5:4

theholyprepuce asked: I try to read my Bible so hard, but I find myself always returning to Ezekiel 23:20 NIV and then committing the sin of Onan. Bless you. Your wonderful site will certainly help with my daily devotions.

Indeed: “There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses”- Ezekiel 23:20 (NIV)

Bless you, may your emissions be bountiful!

”We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for? If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.” -Solomon’s Song 8:8
